This illustration has been featured today on www.thanksbut.com , a great site about rejected artworks. So far they have had contributions from Stefan Sagmeister, Milton Glaser, Angus Hyland and Marian Deuchars amongst others, so its looking to be a really interesting project. It also softens the blow a little to see that other people get rejected too!
